The Multi-function Monitor (Electronic Meter), which is powered by 2 AA batterries (included), automatically scans and tracks time, speed, distance, and calories in sequence with a change every four seconds.

"We weren't sure the manual was the way to go, since we are in our 60's and had used electric treadmills in the past. We love it...it folds up and is moved out of the way easily, the belt was simple to adjust and we find ourselves using it daily. Our son is over 6 feet and has to bend a bit to use it, my husband and I are between 5'5" and 5'10" and for us it's perfect. It's not as noisy as I expected and I often watch tv while using it. I feel wonderful all day after getting my morning exercise and have lost pounds in the process!

We get a much better workout using this treadmill than using an electric, but it's not so hard that we feel over-worked. It's very sturdy, we saved quite a lot of money with the manual, we get the exercise we needed without the pollen count or bad weather, it was simple to put together and adjust, it's easily manageable and moveable...what's not to like!
